ACCOUNTANT (12 Month Contract)

Transit Systems NSW has a 12 month contract role with the potential of turning into permanent role for an experienced Accountant based in Kingsgrove Sydney, reporting to the Finance Manager of the NSW Bus Division.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE

  • Cash flow reporting and forecasting.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Variance analysis and commentary on monthly management accounts
  • Ad hoc analysis using TIMS Analytics module
  • Liaison with payroll administrators and operational personnel
  • Maintain asset registers and associated loan amortisation schedules
  • Assist with Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
  • Reconciliation of contract/charter income and debtors ledger processing
  • BAS, superannuation, payroll tax and FBT compliance
  • Review and process monthly/weekly creditors
  • Complete ABS survey as required

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree qualification
  • CPA or CA professional qualifications or progressing to completion
  • Work experience in a multi-company group using accrual accounting
  • Experience managing or collating budgets and financial forecasts
  • Advanced Excel skills including Pivot tables/charts and financial modelling)
  • Experience with BI analytic tools such as Qlik
  • Experience with TIMS product highly regarded but not necessary.
  • Ability to work constructively as a team member and confidence to work autonomously
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
