Transit Systems NSW has a role for an experienced Finance Manager based in Kingsgrove Sydney, reporting to the Financial Controller NSW Bus division.


  • Production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
  • Monthly general ledger reconciliations and journals with timely resolution of issues
  • Preparation and lodgement of payroll related compliance prior to due dates.
  • Lodging monthly PAYG, GST, FBT and BAS statements.
  • Reconciliation of all payroll related accounts and recharges
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable including invoicing and cashflow management.
  • Management of relationships with internal and external partners and business partnering
  • Assist with fleet management and fuel reporting, and analysis of cost reports
  • Preparation of financial data required for submission to statutory bodi
  • Support the year end process and annual audit ensuring financial integrity and producing high quality outputs
  • Ad hoc projects and reporting


  • CPA or CA Qualified.
  • Minimum seven years’ experience in accounting roles with experience in a multi-company group.
  • Proven experience to meet deadlines with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritise.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member and to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills and stakeholder engagement.
  • Exposure to a large ERP system and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, analyse options and solve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability in completeness, accuracy and timely in reporting.
  • Strong internal controls and risk management experience.
