Captain Cook Cruises(WA) is currently looking for a reliable, passionate and driven Food and Beverage Supervisor to join the team, someone that is born for the Hospitality Industry, who will go above and beyond to ensure our reputation for outstanding service is not only upheld but also strives to ensure continuous improvement of our process and service standards.

In this hands-on role, you will lead, mentor and motivate your team, ensuring we deliver professional, efficient and friendly service on all vessels as well as our Functions venue.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Assisting and guiding the team with day to day operations on our vessels and Functions venue.
  • Assisting with the operation of the Functions venue and service.
  • Proactively deal with customer complaints.   
  • Providing input on greater Food and Beverage strategies. 
  • Mentoring and training the Food and Beverage Team.
  • Ensuring that strategies are in place to allow for efficient and effective staffing of the department to achieve financial and service quality targets.
  • Ensuring that Team Members are briefed on all specials, standard menu items and details of event orders.
  • Assisting the Operations Manager to plan and prepare for the delivery of quality services in a timely and adequate manner.
  • Ensuring staff adhere to safety standards and hygiene practices. 

Who are we looking for?

  • You will ideally have previous experience as a Food and Beverage Supervisor and are looking to work in a larger operation.
  • Have previous experience running events and functions.
  • Must have excellent knowledge of a la carte, buffet and Fine Dining.
  • Able to train and coach a workforce in excess of 50
  • Excellent communication skills, with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Proven experience in leading a successful team.
  • A passion and working knowledge of latest food and wine trends.
  • Hold a valid RSA and Approved Managers Card– essential.
  • Someone who can think outside the box to ensure continuous improvement.
  • The ability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Someone who is energetic and can lead by example, is hands on and can instill a sense of fun in the workplace.
  • Above all, someone who is motivated to taken full ownership of the role and progress with the company.
  • Multitasking skills are a must.
