About the Role


We are in search for a professional Kitchen Steward to join our diverse team of Hospitality lovers as a live on island team member.


This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that prides itself on promoting an exceptional nature based eco-tourism experience for guests, whilst placing minimal impact the island environment.


Reporting to the Head Chef you will be responsible for maintaining kitchen cleanliness throughout the Resort. 


Live on team members move into the Staff Accommodation, located within the grounds of the Eurong Beach Resort, and sharing the accommodation facilities with approximately 50 like-minded team members.

Key Role Requirements

  • The ability to relocate to Fraser Island for work
  • The ability to work across a broad rostering system, over a 7 day working week
  • Cleaning requirements in the back of house Kitchen area
  • Rinse dirty crockery and cutlery, stack in the dishwasher, unload and put away & wash pots by hand
  • Ensure that all Food and Beverage outlets are provided with clean and sanitised operating equipment
  • Use correct handling techniques to transport and store food items
  • Wipe down benches & sweep and mop floors
  • Knowledge of chemical handling and food handling

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • A valid Police Clearance, or the ability to obtain one for work
  • Food Handling certificate - desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in a kitchen stewarding role
  • Efficient and effective time management skills
