About the Role

 

Kingfisher Bay Resort are seeking a professional Island Day Spa Beauty Therapist to join our diverse team in our Resort Day Spa on Fraser Island. This is a live off island role. 

 

Key Role Requirements

  • All applicants must have a right to work in Australia
  • Ability to commute to the island daily
  • Be self motivated and able to work unsupervised
  • Strong level of customer service
  • Confidence and ability to work one-on-one with clients and as part of a team
  • Excellent understanding of client care and exceptional treatment standards 
  • Ability to recommend home care products as part of providing excellent client care
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities 
  • Ability to work autonomously, and as a part of a dedicated and passionate team 
  • Impeccable personal presentation and grooming standards 
  • Excellent understanding of client care and exceptional treatment standards
  • An understanding and dedication to providing the highest level of guest service 
  • Have a professional outlook in the workplace and show an invested interest in the hustle and bustle of the Hospitality industry
  • Ensuring all client enquiries are dealt with professionally and in a timely manner
  • Take pride in your customer service abilities to ensure our guests’ experience on island is one to remember! Offering guests a professional level of service in a relaxed and friendly environment
  • Be confident in all areas of beauty including; facials, body treatments, waxing, and massage

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • A valid Police Clearance (dated within the last 6 months), or the ability to obtain one for work
  • Proven Spa, Beauty and Massage Therapy experience in a resort day spa environment or similar 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Previous reception / administration experience - client bookings and phone/email confirmations - highly regarded 
  • Must have experience in performing all massage styles
  • A Diploma in Beauty Therapy, or higher
  • Minimum 12 months experience post certification
