About the role

 

This position will be an integral part of the Sealink Travel Group ferries team. The Engineers’ primary function is to assist with the safe and secure operations of Company vessels. This will include working as part of a team, whilst maintaining excellence in safety and reliability at all times.

 

This position requires interpersonal and organisational skills and effective written and verbal communication skills are essential to this role.

 

Currently, the Engineer will be on a seven day on, seven day off roster and you may be required to work outside of these hours on occasions during periods of annual slippings and maintenance requirements. A sound knowledge of the vessel is essential to all aspects of this role. You will be working in close conjunction with the Chief Engineer.

 

The Engineer will be expected to meet and exceed key performance indicators, whilst displaying a high level of work ethics.

 

This role requires energy, commitment, initiative, teamwork, multi-skilling and time management.
