About the Role


We are looking for an experienced Recruitment Coordinator who has worked in a fast-paced environment to join our busy Performance & Culture Team… do you think you have what it takes? 


This is a live off island permanent full-time role. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake end to end recruitment across all departments for the SeaLink Fraser Island Group
  • Facilitate the recruitment flowchart process by developing and maintaining effective relationships
  • Liaise with and maintain effective relationships with third party recruitment agencies
  • Coordinate all recruitment advertising, screening, shortlisting, phone screens, selection criteria, interviewing, testing, reference checking and police checks
  • Liaise with relevant departments and new team members to ensure all transfers to and from the Island are confirmed
  • Ensure accurate record keeping
  • Liaise with successful applicants, including arrival, transfer arrangements, and Island living (if applicable)
  • Prepare employment contracts and facilitate amendments
  • Ensure effective communication between Human Resources and Department Managers on all new employee arrivals
  • In consultation with the Group People and Culture Manager ensure each vacancy is in line with organisational requirements
  • Contribute to the fortnightly staff magazine
  • Complete all other tasks provided by the P&C Manger

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years previous experience in a Recruitment/People and Culture Coordinator, preferably within a Hospitality/Tourism environment
  • Proven experience working within an evolving fast-paced recruitment environment
  • Proven experience in the end to end recruitment process
  • Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google Docs
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Ability to uphold confidentiality and discretion
  • A valid Police Clearance (within 6 months or less), or the ability to obtain one for work
  • Experience in Psychometric testing and interpreting data
  • The ability to work across multiples sites
  • The ability to work during peak seasonal periods e.g. school holidays

  • An experienced recruiter who has the ability to manage multiple campaigns across different departments within tight timeframes
  • High attention to detail
  • Self-starter, ability to work autonomously and within a fast-paced team environment
  • An engaging personality with the ability to motivate and influence others to achieve business outcomes
  • Ability to think strategically whilst being equally comfortable working in a hands-on environment
  • A passion to drive and foster a culture of continuous quality improvement
  • A current Australian Driver’s License
