So, what are we looking for?

 

We are in search for a Recruitment Coordinator to join our Performance & Culture Team… do you think you have what it takes?

 

Key responsibilities include...

  • Recruit staff for all departments across the SeaLink Fraser Island Group
  • Facilitate the recruitment flowchart process by developing and maintenance effective relationships with Head of Department Managers, enabling the facilitation of staff forecasts and effective recruitment processes
  • Liaise with and maintain effective relationships with third party recruitment agencies
  • Coordinate all recruitment advertising, screening, shortlisting, phone screens, selection criteria, interviewing, testing, reference checking and police checks
  • Liaise with relevant departments and new team members to ensure all transfers to and from the island are confirmed
  • Ensure accurate record keeping is kept and maintained for reporting purposes on a monthly basis through the End of Month reports
  • Consult with Resort General Managers and Group General Manager prior to commencement of all new employee arrivals
  • Liaise with successful applicants on all details, including arrival, transfer arrangements, and island living (if applicable)
  • Draw up employment contracts for new starters as required
  • Facilitate employment contract amendments based on approved PAF forms
  • Ensure effective communication between Human Resources and Department Managers on all new employee arrivals
  • Meet with all new employees at the Mainland Terminal on the day of arrival to assist with their transfers to the island
  • Manage vacancies across the Group in coordination with the P&C Manager ensuring each vacancy is in line with the Organisational and Departmental Chart
  • Contribute to the fortnightly Playbooks
  • Attend monthly Business Review Meetings with Senior Management
  • Conduct relevant sessions with external third party recruitment agencies as required
  • Processing of unsuccessful applicants as necessary
  • Complete all other tasks provided by the P&C Manger

A few essentials about you…

  • A minimum of 2 years previous experience in Human Resources / Recruitment Consultant role, preferably within a Hospitality / Tourism environment
  • Proven experience working within a fast paced environment that is subject to regular change
  • Proven experience in the end to end recruitment process
  • Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google Docs
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Ability to uphold confidentiality and discretion
  • A valid Police Clearance (within 6 months or less), or the ability to obtain one for work
  • Experience in Psychometric testing and interpreting data 
  • The ability to work across multiples sites
  • The ability to work during peak seasonal periods eg. school holidays

  • Ability to think strategically whilst being equally comfortable working in a hands-on environment
  • A passion to drive and foster a culture of continuous quality improvement
  • A current Australian Driver’s License
