Sales Manager
Sydney Harbour

Captain Cook Cruises, Sydney’s leading Cruise Company, is seeking an experienced Sales person with outstanding management qualities to lead our sales efforts for locally generated sales. You will manage our local Events and Reservations teams to maximise sales opportunities and will assume direct responsibility for growing sales through existing local channels while finding opportunities to create new distribution channels.

 

Reporting directly to the General Manager you will work alongside the Marketing Manager. Together you head up a small, creative Sales and Marketing team located in Darling Harbour.

 

This is an exciting role for someone who enjoys a busy, challenging environment and are eager to use their proven Sales, People Management and B2B skills to build relationships and sales revenues across a broad range of channels. These include Direct, Corporate, MICE, 3rd party re-sellers, Hotels, Agencies, Clubs, Social and Digital and a myriad of other potential cruise clients.

Captain Cook Cruises is part of the ASX listed SeaLink Travel Group. You will therefore also work closely with our SeaLink Global Sales team, located in Sydney. A strong understanding of the international and domestic travel trade market and a keen understanding of digital marketing is therefore essential.

 

You will have experience in developing Sales budgets and working within budget frameworks, as well as strong commercial understanding.

 

OUR WINNING APPLICANT WILL HAVE

 

  • Demonstrated Business and Sales Development skills having been in a targeted sales role
  • Experience in leading and or managing a Sales Team
  • A minimum of 3 – 5 years in the tourism industry or related industry
  • Demonstrable creative and innovative Sales abilities
  • Demonstrate strong commercial understanding
  • Ability to write and execute a sales budget and sales development plan
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and a team player
  • Be a great presenter to both individuals and groups
