About the Roles...

One position is for an additional  full time experienced Payroll Officer to make a difference to each of the business units that make up SeaLink Travel Group.  


The second position is a 12 month contract to cover parental leave.


The Payroll Officer reports to the Finance Manager and is a member of the small, collegiate Finance team based in the corporate office in Adelaide.  


Your role will be to manage all payroll functions and ensure timely and accurate processing of all end to end payroll and payroll related administration. Your duties include:

  • Processing and maintenance of the payroll system including integration with other systems (Deputy and Accpac Accounting System)
  • Maintenance of awards and industrial agreements in Deputy (Rostering and Time and Attendance System)
  • Interpretation of industrial instruments from a payroll perspective including calculations during re-negotiations of Agreements
  • Application of CPI and FWC increases and calculation of new rates
  • Maintenance of data bases including electronic Laserfiche Document Management System
  • Providing reports to internal and external stakeholders
  • Payroll queries and from managers and employees
  • Superstream superannuation remitting for all companies within Meridian
  • End of month / year calculations for Workcover, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, Group Tax including associated journals
  • Termination, Long Service Leave and Redundancy calculations as required
  • Annual Gender Work Reporting for Group – all companies nationally
  • ABS Reporting for the group
  • Review and improve payroll policies and procedure
  • Support Group HR Manager
  • Support all internal and external audits related to payroll

Salary is 60-70K dependant on experience.
