About the Role

As the People & Culture Manager, you will work closely with the General Managers of each business unit to deliver customer-focused and high-quality People & Culture services. Primarily, you will be based at Horizons West located in Welshpool, Perth, while providing support to our Go West team, based in Bunbury, and Grand Touring team, based in the Northern Territory. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with relevant Industrial Instruments, Acts, and legislations, while upholding best industry practices to foster employee retention and nurture a workplace culture aligned with the collective aspirations of the team.

 

Duties

  • Manage the entire employee life cycle process, including end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  • Empower and support leaders in performance management, conflict resolution, and people management.
  • Provide HR consulting advice to management and employees, using relevant Awards, Agreements, policies, and legislation.
  • Negotiate and influence effective approaches to complex issues in relation to conflict management and disciplinary processes.
  • Lead Learning and Development with a strategic focus, ensuring the design and implementation of effective training initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development, aligning departmental goals with the overall organizational objectives.
  • Work effectively as part of the Kelsian & Transit Systems People and Culture Team, consulting with the EGM, People, Safety & Communication on all key project decisions.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Tertiary Qualification in a Human Resource related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Senior Officer or Advisor in a Human Resource Generalist Position in a complex business.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and ability to interpret Awards, Agreements and Contracts.
  • Experience in Enterprise Agreement Negotiation or the ability to learn.
  • Demonstrated Experience within a Training Related Position (desirable).
