We are currently seeking an experience casual Master IV to join our Operations here in South East Queensland.

- Senior First Aid - Essential
- Master 4 Certificate of Competency,Essential
- Drivers License - Essential
- Confined Space and BA Qualification - Desirable
- MED 3 or Higher - Desirable
- Demonstrated leadership skills - Essential
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
About the role
This casual position in our team creates an opportunity for you to join an award winning tourism and transport company with an excellent reputation in quality products and professional customer service.
This exciting position requires a person who is energetic, motivated and enthusiastic and who has the flexibility.
The Master will be responsible for the daily efficient operation of the extensive fleet consisting of vehicle barges and fast ferries whilst maintaining excellence in safety, reliability and guest service at all times. The primary function of the role is the safe and secure operations and navigations of the vessel and to ensure the health and safety of all guests and crew on board.
This position requires a strong leader, with a high standard of interpersonal and organisational skills and effective written and verbal communication skills as well as proven safe ship handling and management skills.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience leading a fast paced team with diverse responsibilities.
The Master must ensure the vessel maintains compliance with all relevant local laws and company policies and is responsible for the implementation and verification of the Safety Management System on board.
This role requires leadership, energy, commitment, initiative, teamwork, multi-skilling and time management.
